Olinol Academics ("Olinol", "we", "us") is a medical education and exam-preparation platform for medical students in Ethiopia. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address and phone number (entered in +251 format).
Google sign-in: if you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares basic profile information with us, such as your name and email address. We never receive your Google password.
Learning activity: your progress, quiz and practice results, and content you use or submit in the app.
Technical data: basic device and log information needed to keep the service secure and working.

2. How we use your information

To create and manage your account and let you sign in.
To provide the learning features and save your progress.
To use your phone number to prevent duplicate accounts.
To fix problems, keep the service secure, and improve the platform.
To contact you about your account or important service changes.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted service providers to run Olinol: Supabase (authentication and database), Netlify (website hosting) and Google (sign-in). They process data only to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law.

4. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and related data at any time by emailing YOUR-EMAIL@example.com.

6. Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us. You can also stop using Google sign-in and use email instead, or remove Olinol's access from your Google account settings.

7. Children

Olinol is intended for medical students and is not directed at anyone under 16.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
